Lawyers

The one overriding trait common to all of us is that we are passionate advocates. We love practicing law and doing so in a setting where we have few conflicts and are free to take on matters that interest us as well as provide financial reward. We are a relatively small team and have no plans to grow even to the size that many would consider a “mid-size” firm.

We look for people who share our passion and commitment to excellence in advocacy. As you will see from reviewing our bios, people come to the firm, by and large, after having built a record of accomplishment and demonstrated their commitment to doing what we do.

Our lawyers come from top law schools and most have had prestigious judicial clerkships or held relevant positions in government before joining us. So, we are highly selective.

We are also diverse and inclusive. More than one-third of our lawyers come from backgrounds that have been historically under-represented in the legal profession. We believe that diversity makes us stronger and work at it. We are active members of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, leading sponsors of the ABA Judicial Intern Opportunity Program, a partner with Genesys Works, and engaged with other organizations to promote diversity and inclusion.

We provide compensation and benefits that are competitive with large firms. However, our open, collaborative work-style creates a congenial atmosphere that far surpasses anything that a lawyer would experience at a large firm. It is our hope that this atmosphere and the financial and professional rewards of practicing with us are sufficiently appealing that good people will recognize the firm as a place to make a career.

We believe that continuing legal education is much more than a requirement to keep a law license. We are committed to formal training in addition to the mentoring a lawyer receives by working in a close knit environment like ours. We insist that junior lawyers participate in programs through organizations like the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and that they prepare a plan for continuing legal education that has them taking courses that we believe will most benefit their development as advocates and enhance their contributions to the firm.

We have no summer associate program and are not looking to hire lawyers directly out of law school. But if you are in school and just want to let us know who you are and that we are a firm with which you are interested in practicing after you have achieved some experience, please feel free to do that.

If your credentials and interests are consistent with ours, and you would like to inquire about joining our team, email us at careers@mololamken.com. Please include a cover letter explaining your interest, a resume, your law school transcript, a writing sample, and a list of at least three references.
