Lauren M. Weinstein
Lauren Weinstein has deep experience representing clients on both sides of the “v.” in a broad range of business disputes. She has handled contract, fraud, securities, corporate governance, and business tort claims in state and federal courts across the country.
Ms. Weinstein has substantial experience in antitrust matters. She currently has a senior leadership role representing the State of Utah, which, in coordination with 38 other states, is prosecuting antitrust and consumer protection claims in the In re Google Play Store Antitrust Litigation in federal court in San Francisco. She is part of the nationwide class leadership in a case in Chicago involving financial services. She is part of the defense team representing a consumer services corporation in a bet-the-company class action pending in Kansas City. She serves as the co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Antitrust Litigation Committee and regularly writes and speaks on developments in antitrust law.
Descended from Cuban and Jewish immigrants, Ms. Weinstein is deeply involved in MoloLamken’s diversity efforts. She was a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and currently serves as MoloLamken’s Diversity Professional for the organization. She also mentors law students of color through The Appellate Project.
Ms. Weinstein is fluent in Spanish and French. She grew up speaking Spanish and regularly represents clients with significant operations in, or disputes arising from, Latin America and Spain.
Prior to joining MoloLamken, Ms. Weinstein clerked for judges in two of the most dynamic courts in the United States: the Honorable John G. Koeltl of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She graduated from Harvard Law School and obtained her B.A. magna cum laude from Northwestern University where she was a member of the national-champion policy debate team.
Ms. Weinstein has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Legal 500, as a Leading U.S. Litigator by Lawdragon, and as a Next Generation Leader by Lawdragon. Legal 500 says she is “smart” and “great to work with.”
